安份守己的貨柜司機唐志明滿以為遷新居后，可以安居樂業，豈料這卻是惡夢的開端。首先在裝修期間，遭到黑社會背景的承建商前來勒索恐嚇，幸得明妻亞珍之昔日情人罐頭刀出面，事件才得以平息。怎料，刀實另在居心，在其慫勇下珍往刀的老大黑超文旗下金融公司的炒外匯，結果虧了大本，欠下巨債；刀遂哄珍向文借錢，以作應急之用，而珍恐其夫責備，故不敢將實情告知。
