阿添是個運送郵件的飛行員,二戰(zhàn)時參加了英國皇家空軍,他與上司貝克同時愛上了在夜總會唱歌的女孩莎。兩個情敵同駕一架戰(zhàn)斗機，當他們迫降到海灘被德軍俘虜時，二個人共同想辦法逃出德軍陣地；阿添為掩護貝克受傷，但未及時回來赴約的阿添被女友誤會，而導致分手，女友投入貝克的懷抱，但當阿添因參加飛行戰(zhàn)斗生死不明時，女友莎不顧一切跑到碼頭，他看到阿添出現(xiàn)在人群中，沖上去與阿添深深吻到一起，貝克摸摸默默地離開他們這對烽火中的情侶。
